Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We expect formal training or certification in software engineering, along with 8+ years of applied experience.
• We need proven experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, test acceleration, and troubleshooting, with a strong emphasis on validating outputs for accuracy, performance, and security.
• We value a solid understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, and resiliency and security expectations, plus experience coaching engineers on safe and compliant adoption.
• We require hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• We need strong proficiency across the full software development life cycle.
• We look for advanced knowledge of agile practices such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• We seek demonstrated proficiency in technical disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile technologies.
• We want the ability to solve design and functionality issues independently with minimal oversight.
• We require strong expertise in Java, REST, and microservices, including event-driven microservices and Kafka streaming.
• We look for experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and public or private cloud environments.
• We expect a proven track record of supporting end users with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Preferred experience includes AI exposure using Python and AI tools such as Copilot in VS Code or IntelliJ.
• Preferred knowledge includes containerization and container runtime/orchestration platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
• Preferred knowledge also includes messaging systems such as Kafka.
• Preferred familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.

• We develop creative software solutions and handle design, development, and technical troubleshooting using approaches that go beyond routine methods.
• We lead and motivate a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers, encouraging collaboration, innovation, and high standards.
• We oversee technical design, architecture, and implementation to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
• We create architecture and design documentation for complex applications and ensure design constraints are addressed during development.
• We gather, analyze, synthesize, and visualize large, varied data sets to support ongoing improvement of software applications and systems.
• We identify opportunities to remove or automate fixes for recurring issues in order to strengthen operational stability.
• We lead evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural fit, technical capability, and alignment with existing systems and information architecture.
• We support communities of practice across software engineering to promote awareness and adoption of emerging technologies.
• We drive adoption of enterprise-approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes while maintaining secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and reusable patterns.
• We apply knowledge of SDLC tools, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered through automation.
