A private family in Palm Beach is seeking an experienced Seasonal Private Housekeeper to join their household team from October through May.

Oceanside Staffing recently placed an exceptional Executive Housekeeper with this family, and we are now looking for a talented Housekeeper to join the team and work under her direction. The ideal candidate is a flexible team player who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and is comfortable taking direction. This is a hands-on housekeeping position for someone who enjoys being part of a team and understands that maintaining a beautiful private residence requires everyone to pitch in when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Household Care

• Perform detailed daily housekeeping throughout the private residence
• Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation
• Make beds and maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, common areas, and guest spaces
• Perform deep cleaning and seasonal cleaning projects as directed by the Executive Housekeeper
• Properly care for fine furnishings, artwork, luxury finishes, and specialty surfaces
• Maintain organized closets, storage spaces, and household areas
• Ensure the residence remains beautifully presented and guest-ready at all times
• Follow established cleaning schedules, household systems, and protocols

Laundry & Wardrobe Care

• Assist with personal and household laundry
• Wash, dry, fold, iron, steam, and properly store clothing and linens
• Handle delicate fabrics and luxury garments using appropriate care techniques
• Maintain organized linen closets and laundry areas
• Assist with dry cleaning and specialty garment care as needed

Household Support

• Assist with household inventory and restocking supplies
• Support the Executive Housekeeper with household projects and seasonal organization
• Assist with table settings and preparation for family meals, entertaining, and guests
• Provide light pet care as requested
• Work collaboratively with other household staff to ensure seamless daily operations
• Pitch in with additional household responsibilities as needed

Ideal Candidate

• Previous professional housekeeping experience, preferably within a luxury private residence, yacht, luxury hotel, or similar high-standard environment
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in maintaining an impeccably presented home
• Comfortable working under the direction of an Executive Housekeeper
• Takes direction and feedback well and respects established household systems and standards
• Flexible, dependable, and willing to help wherever needed
• Strong team mentality with an “all hands on deck” approach
• Professional, polished, and service-oriented
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and the care of fine furnishings, fabrics, and luxury finishes
• Able to work efficiently while maintaining consistently high standards
• Discreet and respectful of the principals’ privacy and confidentiality
• Positive, adaptable, and easy to work alongside
• Interested in becoming a trusted and valued member of a professional household team

Requirements

• Must be fluent in spoken English
• Previous professional housekeeping experience required
• Ability to successfully complete a comprehensive background check and reference verification
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred
• Flexibility to work additional hours, weekends, and holidays when household needs require
  

Compensation & Schedule

• Starting at $35/hour+, depending on experience
• Overtime is paid at time and a half (1.5x)
• Seasonal position from October through May
• The schedule generally follows Monday through Friday when the household is quieter
• When the principals or guests are in residence, the schedule is typically six days per week , with overtime expected
• Flexibility to accommodate additional hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays during busy periods is essential
• No benefits are offered for the seasonal position.
